July 2005

President's Message

As I mentioned last month, the Los Angeles Chapter is pleased to have as our July speaker, Mr. Patrick Ryan, Executive Chairman of AON Corporation.  Mr. Ryan is a man who needs little introduction.  He is a self-made man, who started as a life insurance salesman. After reading an article in the Wall Street Journal, while still in college and seeing how much money the salesmen were making, he had a vision. Today, that vision is AON.

Mr. Ryan believes in his people. He has been quoted as saying that the employees of AON are the key assets. He was understandably shaken at the loss of 176 employees at the World Trade Center on 9/11.

We have opened the floor to Mr. Ryan to speak on whatever he feels is relevant.  The Chapter has received many inquires about this event, so please register early.  We will have a maximum of 300 attendees.  Due to demand, we cannot guarantee walk-in registrants.

I look forward to seeing you on July 20th at the luncheon.
