LA RIMS is pleased to welcome the recently (July 2016) appointed CEO of Swiss Re's North America Corporate Solutions group, Ivan Gonzalez. Based in New York, Mr. Gonzalez brings a wealth of global perspective to our members - he is a Colombian national who has previously served as CEO Latin America, as well as, working for Swiss Re in Zurich. We have asked Mr. Gonzalez to provide his views on the State of the Global Insurance Market today and where he sees it going in the future.

Ivan Gonzalez
Managing Director, CEO North America Corporate Solutions
Ivan Gonzalez was appointed CEO North America Corporate Solutions with effect from July
2016. He was appointed member of the Corporate Solutions Management Committee with
effect from March 2011.

Ivan Gonzalez is responsible for Corporate Solutions' rapid expanding commercial insurance business
with North American corporations, offering innovative, high-quality insurance capacity and customized risk transfer solutions to assist in mitigating their risk exposure. He is based in New York.

Before his appointment as CEO North America Corporate Solutions, Ivan Gonzalez was CEO Latin
America Corporate Solutions for five years. Under his leadership, Corporate Solutions achieved
exponential, high-quality growth in Latin America through organic and inorganic initiatives, including
the acquisition of UBF Seguros in Brazil in 2012 and of Seguros Confianza in Colombia in 2014.

Ivan Gonzalez joined Swiss Re in 2000 as a financial analyst at its Capital Partners division in New York.
During this time he assisted in a number of private equity investments in the financial services sector as
well as several corporate development initiatives including the acquisition of GE Insurance Solutions in
2005. He then moved to Group Strategy in Zurich for five years working on various strategic activities
for the Group CEO across different business units and geographies.

Ivan Gonzalez was born in 1975 and is a Colombian national. He holds a Master's degree in Business
and International Affairs from Columbia University in New York.
