This position is a member of the Edwards Lifesciences' enterprise risk management team and provides important support for company insurance operations and risk management.

Job Responsibilities: |
- Insurance certificate management: Ensure all appropriate information for the issuance of insurance certificates is provided to insurance brokers and certificates are issued correctly across the business and on time; track and follow up on receipt of binders and policies; maintain filing systems for the department; assure insurance policies are accurate and issued as negotiated.
- Policy renewals: Provide guidance to and/or influence regional finance management, clinical operations staff, insurance brokers, and others for insurance renewals; assist with compiling and consolidating global exposure information and renewal information.
- Develop external relationships with insurance brokers, insurers, and underwriters to achieve company's insurance objectives.
- Manage and/or execute insured claims appropriately per coverage.
- Conduct periodic loss analyses to understand total cost of risk and mitigation opportunities.
- Drive solutions to mitigate systemic risks and capture lessons learned.
- Budgeting and allocations: develop and process premium allocations, including communications to internal business partners.
- Lead enterprise risk management projects as requested.
- Manage process for the payment of invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Review of contracts as it relates to insurance provisions.

Job Requirements: |
- Experience working in a medical device (cardiovascular, endovascular, or other critical care/surgical products), healthcare, or a related environment preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and representing the department on specific projects Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Willing to step up at times of company crisis; ability to work and make decisions under time and situational pressure.
- Competency in Excel for data analysis; competency in Powerpoint for presentations; competency in Word for document review and editing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting timelines and performance objectives.
- Available and willing to travel up to 5 percent of the time
